GVC are one of the biggest names in online gambling and own some of the most well known brands including Foxy, Gala and Ladbrokes. These brands initially were on different platforms. For example Foxy and Cheeky were on Dragonfish whilst Coral and Ladbrokes operating on Playtech/Virtue Fusion. At the end of 2017 GVC Holdings purchased Cozy Games and renamed it ElectraWorks. This purchase marked the end of a growth spurt of bingo and slot brands using the platform. Initially GVC made changes to the platform which resulted in player terms dramatically improve.
The no deposit bonus was replaced with access to a free bingo room, the 50 ball free bingo was dropped but the quality and variety of slots improved. The most significant change was in 2018 when Cheeky, Think and Foxy all moved from Dragonfish to the revamped platform. However, during 2019 many of the original Cozy brands - plus Think - were closed and by August 2020 the old sites were all closed down. During 2020 Ladbrokes and Coral also moved to the now renamed GVC platform. At present only Gala Bingo remains on Virtue Fusion.
– Anna Venturas, Brand Director of Foxy Bingo Previously, Foxy Bingo had successfully endorsed the global TV hit, Friends, on Channel 5 throughout 2018 and 2019. This campaign included radio and TV. Online bingo site Foxy Bingo has announced that they've come to terms to sponsor popular UK dating show First Dates starting this month. The deal will be good for the year and will span 32 episodes, which are repeated each weekly and will run across different channels.

Bingo on sites powered by GVC's own platform include 30 ball, 75 ball, 80 ball and 90 ball rooms. Amongst the options available you will find Friends Bingo, themed on the popular US TV Sitcom, and Cash Out Bingo. The latter is an innovative approach to the game which gives the players the chance to 'cash out' at 1TG in case the next ball drawn doesn't generate a full house win. Free bingo is also available at many of the sites plus all run network as well as standalone promotions.
When GVC took over the Cozy set-up they immediately improved the slots roster and that has continued over the last few years. Popular games like Megaways, Starburst, Friends, Monopoly Live and The Win Genie are all available. These are joined by a full suite of Slingo titles including the exclusive Friends Slingo. Must Drop jackpots and progressives also feature as well as live casino games. Coral and Ladbrokes both offer sportsbook and poker games to visitors.
If you're new to the GVC platform and are interested in bingo then our advice would be to head to Foxy. It offers the most games, promotions and is the most well known brand. If you like free bingo then Ladbrokes and Coral will give you access more free games. Whilst Gala remains on Virtue Fusion we do think it has the best variety of bingo rooms. Whether it remains on that platform remains to be seen but we'd be very surprised if it doesn't move platform in the not too distant future.
All sites in this group are regulated by Gibraltar Gambling and UK Gambling Commissions. Deposits can be made via debit cards as well as other online payment options.

Foxy Bingo are back on the TV programme sponsorship trail. The popular brand that was, back in the day, well known for being the sponsors of a now defunct early morning chat show has become the new sponsor of Channel 4's First Dates. According to reports this is a year long deal and will include the new series that started on the 19th January 2021 and programme spin-offs including First Dates Hotel and First Dates Australia.
First Dates is a popular dating programme which sees matched up couples meet up for the first time at a restaurant. They're welcomed by the maître d' Fred Sirieix and interact with the staff during the date. At the end of the date the couple are then asked whether they'll continue to see each other or not. Some of the matches work really well whilst others will have you hiding behind cushions cringing at how badly it's going. The new series of First Dates has also been refreshed and now sees the dates meeting at The Refinery in Spinningfields, Manchester.
A new and refreshed First Dates is an ideal partner for a new and refreshed Foxy Bingo. In our view it has been slow progress for Foxy since the move from Dragonfish to Entain's own platform (via the acquisition of Cozy Games). However the additions of exclusive games like Friends Bingo, Cash Out Bingo and their version of Fluffy Favourites Bingo is helping build an audience. Back in the day they used clever sponsorship opportunities including Rugby League and Mum Of The Year competitions to attract players. We think partnering with First Dates should help re-establish the brand among the big boys of bingo again.
Naturally Foxy are happy with this new deal. Anna Venturas, Brand Director of Foxy Bingo, said: 'We are delighted to be sponsoring First Dates throughout 2021, the show really resonates with our audience and we truly believe that this will be a perfect fit for both the programme and our brand'. She went on to explain that 'with the sponsorship of First Dates, we hope to reach even more of our audience so they can make a date to discover some firsts. They may not find love, but they will certainly find our Foxy Fabulous community'.
Thankfully Foxy haven't gone full The Masked Singer Bingo and launched a slot and bingo game based on First Dates - at least for now. Of course Foxy do have previous when it comes to TV themed bingo games. They currently host Friends Bingo based on the popular US TV show and in their Dragonfish days they also had TOWIE bingo and slots. Whilst we don't mind TV themed bingo variants we do think they work better for quiz shows as opposed to dramas, soaps and reality shows.
We hope that a First Dates Bingo or slot doesn't happen as not every TV show or TV show sponsorship needs to become a game. In truth we can't envision how a First Dates Bingo game would work. You could follow the Friends Bingo root and have a community card or perhaps have a Masked Singer reveal bonus. This could be a love bonus round that generates a win on a 50/50 good date or bad date. However that links love to gambling and may not be appropriate under UKGC rules.
